Lions Gate Sinfonia

A season-opening All-Beethoven concert featuring pianist Ian Parker, one of Canada's most dynamic and versatile performers. Commemorating Beethoven’s 251st birthday, we will also perform the Turkish March from Incidental Music to The Ruins of Athens and one of Beethoven’s best known works, the powerful, majestic, and triumphant Symphony #5 in C minor, Op. 67 from 1808. In observance of the upcoming Remembrance Day, we will perform Elgar’s Nimrod in honour not only of service members past and present, but also those lost to COVID-19.
