She Summits is a 4-day community festival with 6 events that focus on the contributions of those who identify as female to important social and environmental conversations through movement-based films, workshops and events.
From films about the Cholita Climbers cracking ice ceilings in Bolivia and a woman solo-sailing to find remote waves to a woman fighting for gender equality in the sport of sumo in Japan, we cross the globe with inspiring stories of women standing strong for what they believe in.
We meet womxn who will share their stories of developing their self-belief so that they can literally change the landscape of education for girls in Africa. We gather together for a community mountain bike ride and a trail-building session led by womxn and for our entire community to improve accessible trails on Seymour. We will learn together about mindfulness and important issues around the world that are important for us to know about; we connect in community and grow into stronger versions of ourselves to get out there and make change happen - in our own lives and beyond.
Join us for She Summits from Oct 17th to 20th for both free and ticketed events right here in North Vancouver. Join us to celebrate more females getting to the peaks of their own summits. All genders are welcome.
