Program & Activity Suspensions
On Thursday, December 3, 2020, the Provincial Health Officer announced new COVID-19 restrictions for the Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health regions. In response to the orders, NVRC is suspending certain programs and sessions until further notice. Registration for offered fall program series is ongoing. All programs and visits require advance registration either online or by calling 604-987-7529. Due to new safety protocols, we are unable to offer drop-ins at this time. Only customers with registrations for programs or who have booked a visit (for example fitness centre sessions, lane swimming, public swim, public skate and pottery studio sessions) are able to enter facilities.
Registration for swimming lessons which run January - March, 2021 begins at 9am on Tuesday, December 8. Registration can be done online or by calling 604-987-7529.
The youth centres at Delbrook and Harry Jerome are open with reduced capacity to enable physical distancing. Learn more
Due to COVID restrictions we are no longer allowed to accept drop-ins, advance registration is required for all of our previous drop-in sessions. For a list of which activities are available visit the What is Open & Closed page.
Registration for these sessions begins at 9:00am on the Monday, one week before the session. Registration can be done online or call 604-987-7529.
Support Workers and Caregivers
If you, a family member or someone you know requires a support worker or caregiver in order to participate in recreation and culture activities at NVRC, we are happy to welcome them!
To ensure compliance with Covid-19 safety regulations, support workers and caregivers will now need to register or sign-up for all programs and activities – including visits to the fitness centre and swimming pools. While they will need to register or sign-up, support workers and caregivers will not be charged a fee for their attendance.
If you or someone you support are attending with a support worker / caregiver, please refer to the registration options outlined below:

At this time, support workers and caregivers cannot be registered online.
Please note: those working as a therapist implementing programs or providing training (physiotherapist, exercise therapist, occupational therapist, personal trainers, etc.) are not considered support workers or caregivers and require approval before providing services at our facilities.
