Family Day is one of the most community driven statutory holidays in Canada. B.C.’s first official Family Day took place in 2013, and since then, the province has enjoyed this holiday annually on the second Monday in February. This year, Family Day in B.C. falls on Monday, February 17. Family Day is an important holiday because it encourages families to spend time together and celebrate what family means. Here in North Van, we are fortunate that North Vancouver Recreation and Culture works tirelessly to offer an immense variety of entertaining activities and events for the community to enjoy, and family day is certainly no exception to this! Here are just five of the many amazing options to fill your Family Day with fun.
