An Artist Collective's Adventure in Mexico

Join members of the Vancouver-based artist collective 13 Feet Off the Ground as they share the story of their latest art residency and exhibition “Puertas” in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. In this illustrated lecture, you will learn why this group of dedicated female artists formed their collective and how they create both local projects and international residency opportunities. They will explore how these residencies have inspired the group as a whole and how their projects have impacted them as individual artists and their personal practices. Hear about their recent exhibition in Mexico and the creative processes that each artist used in the creation of their individual “puertas”.

Presentation will be followed by a Q & A.

Register at 604-925-7270 (course #57802) or online. Drop-ins also welcome (space permitting).
