In this traditional painting competition, artists compose, paint, complete and frame (or finish) a piece of art that has been created outdoors “en plein air” in under four hours. Painting will take place along the Ambleside waterfront between 13th and 18th Streets.
After the artworks are judged, the winners will receive prizes donated by Opus Art Supplies. Participants will have the opportunity to display and sell their pieces on-site from 3 to 7 p.m. on the day of the challenge.
All ages and skill levels are welcome. The cost is $35 or $20 for ages 19 and under. The registration fee includes morning coffee and muffins, as well as a wine and cheese reception after the judging.
