All North Vancouver Community Recreation Centres, North Vancouver Tennis Centre and Centennial Theatre are closed.
North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC) together with the City and District of North Vancouver made the decision to close facilities on March 16, 2020 in order to lower the risk of transmission of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The facility closures were aligned with recommendations from public health authorities to lower the risk of exposure and spread of COVID-19 in our community.
We know that our programs and services are very important to our community. We are listening carefully to the various directives and messages regarding re-opening of certain businesses and facilities and figuring out what the restrictions mean for our valuable recreation and culture services.
We are working on plans for resuming services as soon as we can. Our plans will comply with the provincial and local directives and be feasible to implement. When we do re-open our facilities, things will look different. It will be a gradual process and it will take time to implement new protocols to ensure the health and safety of our staff and customers.
Although the timeline for re-opening NVRC facilities has not yet been set, we remain committed to keeping you updated as plans are finalized.
Due to facility closures all drop-ins are cancelled until further notice.
2020 Live & Local
The 2020 Live & Local Concerts & Culture Series that normally runs in July and August at various locations in North Vancouver is cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and health authority restrictions on events and gatherings.
