Art In Good Company at the Gordon Smith Gallery

Art in Good Company is a new program for community members age 60+ at the Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art. Come and join us every other Thursday afternoon for art making activities based on the current exhibition!

We will be looking at the work of Alex Gibson, "Image of a Garden Lattice", which they made in response to Jack Shadbolt’s "Night Garden Transformations" (1973-83/89), drawing on the garden as a transitional space between interior and exterior, private and public. Gardens are also a place of rest, a sanctuary, where things are nourished and protected. On this Thursday’s (May 7th) Art in Good Company, we will be using paper collage and strips of mylar to make a garden sanctuary and thoughts on what is protected and private, and what is shown.

The program is drop-in style, and family, friends, and others are welcome.
Art in Good Company is *Free*- donations are welcome.
