Live & Local – North Vancouver’s hottest free summer events series – is back

North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC) is highlighting the arts this summer! Live & Local is North Vancouver’s hottest arts and entertainment events series delivering free, fun community experiences for residents and visitors all summer long.

With nearly 50 events, this summer’s series features weekly outdoor concerts, plaza pop-ups, artist sessions and big games:

Live & Local Concerts: where local talent takes centre stage 
Outdoor concerts feature local musicians from a range of musical genres taking the stage at parks and plazas. 
Every Friday from 6-8 p.m. starting July 7 at either Lynn Valley Village or Panorama Park in Deep Cove

Live & Local Plaza Pop-Ups: music, arts and games
Plaza Pop-Ups feature a plaza full of family-friendly activities, including music, arts and games.
Every Thursday from 6-8 p.m. starting July 6 at various locations including: Civic Plaza, Rogers Plaza and Lions Gate Village Plaza

Live & Local Artist Sessions: adding ambience
Artist Sessions provide a stage for local, aspiring artists to share their talent with the community.
Every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Lynn Valley Village
Tuesday, July 11 and August 15 from 5-7 p.m. in Edgemont Village

Live & Local Big Games
Big Games give you the chance to play giant-sized versions of favourite childhood games.
Every Monday and Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. at Lynn Valley Village

“We have a great line-up of musicians, artists and performers as part of this summer’s Live & Local series,” says Neil Scott, NVRC’s Theatre & Events Supervisor. “Our staff have worked very hard to make this series one that you won’t want to miss.”

The Live & Local summer events series has been keeping the community entertained since 2016.
