Millennium Northmount Partnership in coordination with the City of North Vancouver's Developer Public Art Program is inviting Expressions of Interest from professional artists and artist teams working in the public art realm, to create original site-specific public artwork associated with their new Northmount development project to be built in the heart of the Central Lonsdale neighbourhood of North Vancouver.
This developer project includes ground level retail facing the 100 block of 13th Street, with townhouses facing the lane. There is an 18-storey residential building with commercial space on the mid-rise and roof-top amenity space.
The main objective of this public art project is to assist in providing an exciting and interesting space through the breezeway, that connects 13th Street with the lane way. The ceiling of the breezeway (Level 3) has been identified as an effective way to assist with this task. This location is highly visible from the street and plaza space and located on private property.
