Aquatic centre opening update
We're almost ready to make a splash at the new Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre!
We are awaiting final permits and approvals to confirm the opening date for the aquatic centre and change rooms. We are hopeful we can welcome the community into the spaces in December. We will share the public opening date as soon as it is confirmed.
As we prepare to open, staff are completing training in the facility. You may see staff on the pool deck and people in the water as part of required training activities.
Once the facility opens, lane swimming, public swims, Aquafit classes, Masters swim and select aquatic training programs will begin. Registered swim lessons will start the week of January 4, 2027.
Winter aquatic programs will be available to view online starting November 12, with registration opening December 2 at 7am for North Vancouver residents and 9am for non-residents. Programs will include lessons for preschoolers, children, youth, and adults, as well as aquatic leadership and adapted aquatics programs. Learn more on our Registration Dates & Support page.
Thank you for your patience as we complete these final preparations. We can't wait to welcome you in!
The facility is owned by the City of North Vancouver and operated by NVRC. For more information on the design and construction of the facility, visit cnv.org/hjcrc.
