Thank you for participating in an employment interview with North Vancouver Recreation and Culture (NVRC). The next step in the process is for you to complete a Police Information Check (PIC).
Please complete the following steps:
Step 1
Click, print and complete the following Police Information Check Form for the specific municipality that you reside in:
- North Vancouver Police Information Check & Vulnerable Sector forms (PDF)
- West Vancouver Police Information Check & Vulnerable Sector forms (PDF)
- Vancouver Police Information Check & Vulnerable Sector forms (PDF)
PLEASE NOTE: If you are 19 years or older you need to complete both the PIC and Vulnerable Sector Check forms. If you are 18 years or under, a Vulnerable Sector Check is not required.
Step 2
Take the fully completed form(s) to your local RCMP or police detachment along with two pieces of government-issued identification (one must be photo ID).
If you live outside the above listed three municipalities, go to your local RCMP or police detachment with the NVRC Authorization for a Police Information Check letter and two pieces of identification to complete the Police Information Check form and Vulnerable Sector Check form if applicable.
Acceptable forms of identification include: Driver's License, BC identification Card, Passport, Permanent Residency Card, Student ID for youth, Birth Certificate, Citizenship Card, Secure Certificate of Indian Status (SCIS) or Nexus Card.
NOTE: Care cards, social insurance cards, and bank cards will not be accepted as identification
Step 3
Once the check has been completed by the RCMP, they will mail your Police Information Check (and Vulnerable Sector Check, if applicable) to your home address or you can pick it up it in person.
Please hand deliver the PIC to your supervisor or NVRC’s Human Resources department at Delbrook Community Recreation Centre in a sealed envelope. If you are not able to hand deliver the PIC, please scan and send by email to your supervisor or NVRC’s Human Resources Department.
If you are a successful candidate and you scanned and emailed your PIC, you will be required to bring the original document to the employee orientation meeting.
If you have any questions, please email us.
