This etched glass was created to raise awareness about violence against women and to help create safety. Two figures represent a small woman in a confined space and a figure In a strong and confident position. These portray a process identified by survivors of abuse as transformation from isolation to empowerment that requires community support. Viewers will find  find words written on shards of glass between the two figures that describe women's experiences with violence. On circles of glass beside the dancing figure are written words representing strength and empowerment.
