In response to the Environment Canada Heat Warning, NVRC is providing the following information:

Outdoor programming (Camps, Playground Leaders in the Park, Fitness, Arts and Live & Local) 

• Playground Service at Heywood Park on Saturday July 30 has been cancelled.
• Staff will incorporate the following: Choose shady locations, reduce level of activity, build in stop times when moving between locations, build in water breaks and incorporate swimming, water play and water parks where possible.
• Participants are strongly encouraged to wear a hat and sunscreen. NVRC provides T-shirts for campers (which can be made wet to create a cooling effect). Camps are incorporating lower activity programming and calming activities to allow the body to regulate.
• Classes may be cancelled if deemed necessary, based on location, time of day and type of activity.
