This sculpture captures the experience of the sublime pre-industrial natural landscape of this area at the threshold of its intersection with industry. Serving as a gateway marker to the Moodyville neighbhourhood, it playfully inverts this relationship, by utilizing standard industrial elements (weathered I-beams) and conforming them into natural organic shapes and patterns found within an old growth cedar tree. Inside the form, mirrored surfaces reflect the shapes of the artwork and of the sky above, giving the impression vastness when looking up to the sky from the forest floor.
