• Should I get a Flex 10 Pass or an Active Pass?

  Choose a Flex 10 Pass if you:  

  • Visit NVRC facilities five or less times per month and mainly use drop-in services (swimming, skating, fitness centre).
  • Don't mind checking in at the front desk each visit — Flex 10 passes cannot be self-scanned.
  • Only want to sign up for book-a-visit fitness classes on the day the class is happening (advance registration not available with Flex 10).

  Choose an Active Pass if you:  

  • Visit NVRC facilities more than five times per month  
  • Want to skip the front desk and self-scan your card to access drop-in services
  • Want to register in advance for popular book-a-visit fitness classes, sports programs and court bookings
  • Want to register online 
• How much does a Flex 10 pass cost?

  The Flex 10 Pass costs the equivalent of nine day passes at your current age group’s rate. For adults, that's $70.20. Passes are available for all age groups: child, youth, student, adult and senior.

  Plan to visit our facilities more than five times a month? Consider an Active Pass.

  Rates are effective Jan 5, 2026 and do not include taxes.  

  * Need valid student ID & current registration showing minimum of three courses per semester to receive student rate. Monthly subscription and 12-month pass options are not available on student passes.

  ** Youth ages 13 & 14 must have a consultation before using a fitness centre on their own. nvrc.ca/fitness-services for information on how to book a youth consultation.

• How do I purchase a Flex 10 Pass?

  You can purchase a Flex 10 Pass in person at any NVRC front desk. Online purchases are not available. 

• How do I use my Flex 10 Pass?

  Simply present your pass at the front desk when you arrive. You'll receive a wristband for the day and can access any eligible service at any NVRC facility that day (make sure to hold on to your wristband). You can also use your pass to register for book-a-visit fitness classes, but only in person on the day of the class (withdrawals and refunds not available). 

• Can I register online with my Flex 10 Pass?

  No, the Flex 10 Pass can only be used in person for eligible drop-in and day-of activities. You cannot use it to register online or over the phone. 

• Can I share my Flex 10 Pass?

  Yes! You can use your pass to pay for a guest in the same age category. For example, if you have an adult pass, you can use two credits to bring an adult friend or family member with you to the fitness centre.  

  If you are sharing with a non-family member, the pass holder must be present to use the pass. If the pass has been set up to be shared with family and each family member has been assigned a physical card, the original pass holder does not need to be present for other members to use the pass. Visit any NVRC front desk to have your pass set up for sharing. 

• Does my Flex 10 Pass expire?

  Yes, your pass expires one year from the date of purchase. You'll receive a reminder email one month before expiry. Unused credits at expiry are non-refundable.  

• Can I get a refund?

  No, Flex 10 Passes are non-refundable. If you register for a book-a-visit class and don't attend, or if you have unused credits when your pass expires, you cannot receive a refund or credit back.
