Bust a move this summer at NVRC’s free, fun dance workshops!

Community members of all ages learn bollywood dance moves in a public plaza.

This summer, we’re hosting free, fun dance workshops in parks and public spaces across North Vancouver. Join us to explore dance traditions and learn exciting moves from around the world. Try one of our popular Bollywood or Persian dance classes, or explore Capoeira—a Brazilian art form which blends dance, martial arts and music. Bring a friend or family member to double the fun.

All of the workshops listed below are free and open to all ages (5+). Please register in advance using the links below. All dance workshops are weather-dependent.

Persian Dance Workshop

Dive into the rich, rhythmic world of Persian dance in this lively and engaging evening class!
 

Capoeira & Creative Movement Workshop

This workshop introduces participants to the rhythms, movements and history of Capoeira, a Brazilian art form that blends dance, martial arts and music. It will be led by Juka, one of NVRC’s Artists-in-Residence.  Learn more about Juka’s exciting projects and our Artist Residency program.

Bollywood in the Park 

Learn Bollywood dancing with expert Instructor Rohan D’Silva from SHIAMAK Dance.
