An installation of stacks of over-sized books hand-carved from local BC granites and other stones. Two of the taller stacks mark the entrance to the public plaza at Mountain Highway, while several other stacks are arranged haphazardly around the plaza, seemingly as evidence of an archivist at work among ancient texts
About the Artist:
Paul Slipper is a North Vancouver based stone sculptor working as a full time artist since graduating from Emily Carr University in 1983. Having sold and shown both locally and internationally, his work has received numerous awards throughout North America and Asia. He has exhibited in Vancouver, Whistler, Denver, New York, Toronto, LA, Hokkaido Japan and Palm Desert CA.
