Cascadia Green Development in coordination with the City of North Vancouver Developer Public Art Program is inviting Expressions of Interest from professional artists and artist teams working in the public art realm, to create original site-specific public artwork(s) associated with their new Innova development project to be built in the Moodyville neighbourhood of North Vancouver.
Innova will be a landmark hub along East Third Street, transit corridor. As a mixed-use commercial development Innova will feature a range of housing options supported by commercial and office units. The development includes three separate buildings that are interconnected by in a circuit of covered and open spaces.
This public art call identifies a number of public art opportunities in the public realm including the Crossroads, stair & breezeway and covered laneway. Shortlisted artists will be briefed on all three opportunities and will be given the option for proposing one larger scale artwork or a series of related projects within the scope of the allotted public art budget.
