The North Vancouver Recreation & Culture Commission and the District of North Vancouver are seeking an artist or artist team to create a site-specific public artwork to be featured at the new Lynn Creek Community Centre, currently under construction.
This Public Art opportunity invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from all professional Artists or Artist Teams based in Canada. This Call does not require the preparation of a proposal. Only artists who are subsequently short-listed for consideration will be invited to develop a creative concept proposal.
The Lynn Community Centre is located in the planned heart of the Lynn Creek Town Centre, overlooking the newly upgraded Seylynn Park. The community centre occupies two storeys of the facility with the third floor reserved for a daycare use. The project team is open to considering a public art project that is associated with the interior of the facility or the public plaza outside.
