Silent Writers Workshop provides space & support for North Van writers

Led by local writer and NVRC Artist-in-Residence Erin MacNair, the Silent Writers Workshop provides a focused and inviting space for North Van writers to work.

Erin created the Silent Writers Workshop as part of her NVRC artist residency project in 2024. Designed as a pressure-free environment, the workshop offers participants a chance to simply show up and write, surrounded by the quiet support of a like-minded community.

Now in its second year, this weekly workshop is a calm, structured space for writers of all backgrounds to focus, reflect and create. This simple writing space has quickly evolved into a hub of connection and mutual encouragement for participants! Erin’s quiet leadership and inclusive spirit cultivates a group dynamic rooted in trust, productivity and presence. In this space, writers can not only get words on the page, but feel seen, supported and inspired along the way.
