Participants are required to bring a caregiver to this program to provide support in the water during class and for changing before and after class unless the instructor and lifeguards have approved independent participation. Clients must be able to walk in and out of the water independently or bring a support worker who stays within arms reach while in the pool.
This class is designed for anyone recovering from a Cerebral Vascular Accident (CVA), frequent TIA`s or head injury affecting mobility. Exercises focus on balance, strength, gross and fine motor skills. If participants are new to the program you must bring a care giver for support for extra assistance in the pool until the instructors have authorized the extra support is no longer needed. Caregivers must stay within arms distance to the participant at all times.
