Get ready to hear some outstanding live music while soaking up the summer vibes! This July and August, North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC) is turning local parks and plazas into stages with its free Live & Local summer concert series. Live & Local showcases a range of music in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where people of all ages can connect with neighbours and enjoy hearing great performers under the summer sky.
With 22 concerts, this year's lineup has something for every musical taste covering rock, blues, folk, country, soul, funk, Latin, pop and more. The first concert kicks off on July 3 with the fun continuing through the end of August.
Concerts are happening every Thursday and Friday from 7-9 p.m. at outdoor locations across the community including Lions Gate Village, Edgemont Village, Lynn Valley Village, Seylynn Park (Lynn Creek), Panorama Park (Deep Cove) and Ray Perrault Park (Grand Boulevard).

“This series is all about bringing people together to listen to great live music and meet up with friends or make new friends in their neighbourhoods,” said Heather Turner, NVRC Director, Recreation & Culture. “Whether you want to dance or just like to enjoy listening to music outdoors, there’s something special about these evenings. These events are a true celebration of community and we encourage everyone to attend."
