Mural

West Coast Folklore 2
The original mural has been reimaged and installed in the Lower Lonsdale region as part of Cressey Development's new Victor building.  All the same elements, simply refreshed and reimaged to animate a pedestrian walkway that connects Esplanade with the adjacent laneway.   Thanks Ola, you did an amazing job with the revision of this beloved mural.

Artist's Install

West Coast Folklore 1 (2018) (Relocated in 2023)
Located at the Mosquito Creek Trail Underpass in the greenway that runs beside Mosquito Creek between Bewicke Avenue and Marine Drive the West Coast Folklore Mural was a creative, whimsical and colourful addition to the re-furbished multi-use trail. What was historically a secluded, dark and underused area has been completely re-vitalized and transformed with the addition of this welcoming and uplifting mural that celebrates the beauty of our natural surroundings.  Due moisture issues on the wall, and urban tagging the Public Art Program and City Staff worked with the artist to relocate the mural to a site with higher visibilty and better wall conditions.
