Integrated

The redesigned Kinsmen Park field house incorporates sport action words on sculptural chain link fence panels.  Polished stainless steel discs, etched mirrors and concrete floor are cast with action words.  The artist's intention with the project was to create a curvilinear visual poetry with materials that would normally be found on a baseball or soccer field.

About the Artist:
Karen Kazmer received her BFA from UBC and her MFA from York University. She has taught at Emily Carr University and York University and her work has been exhibited in group and solo shows in Canada and the United States. She works with a diverse range of materials in her sculpture, installations and public art.
