The North Vancouver Recreation & Culture Commission and City of North Vancouver are inviting Expressions of Interest from professional artists, to create or provide an original public artwork for the plaza area at 8th Street and Lonsdale Avenue, adjacent to an urban dog park.
The plaza has been previously fitted with an engineered footing, that is located in the centre of the plaza. The short-listed artists will receive more specific information about the substantial footing, and will be expected to present ideas that utilize it. Due to the project’s tight timeline the selection panel will consider purchase of existing artworks and/or proposed new artworks that can be completed and installed by the end of 2025.
