The North Vancouver Recreation & Culture Commission (NVRC) and the District of North Vancouver (DNV) are seeking an artist or artist team to design and fabricate a site-specific public art project for placement on the eastern side of the new Lynn Creek Pedestrian Bridge.
The new Lynn Creek Pedestrian Bridge fills a critical gap in the Spirit Trail, providing more options for residents of LCTC to enjoy local parks, trails and other nearby commercial business areas. This public art opportunity focuses on the plaza areas on the eastern side of the bridge. Artwork at this location should: Be a celebratory expression of an emerging neighbourhood; deliver a bold visual or other sensory impact; spark opportunities for social engagement.
Open to professional Canadian artist or artist teams.
