A blast from the past
According to local newspaper The Citizen’s coverage, North Vancouverites celebrated the pool’s grand opening in 1975 with a ribbon-cutting by then-Mayor Ron Andrews and figure skating phenom Karen Magnussen attended by North Shore swim groups and capped off by a synchronized swimming performance from the Capilano Catalinas Synchronized Swim Club.

From 1975 to 2025, we look forward to marking 50 years of community, recreation and culture with you.
Be there or be square!
