You must have an NVRC account to register. Get your account set up before registration day.  North Van residents will need to show a piece of government-issued photo ID at the front desk to complete account set up and gain access to our online registration system. 

Already have an NVRC account? Log in before registration day and make sure your information is correct and up-to-date. You can't make changes to your account online. To change your information or add family members to your account, you’ll need to call Customer Service at 604-987-7529 or visit the front desk. To correct a birthdate, bring your ID to the front desk.

Most programs, including book-a-visit activities, require advanced registration. There are three ways to register:
-    Online at NVRC.ca 
-    In person at any recreation centre
-    By phone — call Customer Service at 604-987-7529

Self-register online for the best chance of getting into the programs you want — it's the fastest way.

Registration dates & times vary depending on the type of program.

Multi-session classes and activities and one-day workshops follow our seasonal registration schedule, which opens four times per year, with separate opening dates for tennis (adults), tennis (juniors), swimming, skating and general activities. For high-demand programs like swimming, tennis and skating, registration starts at 7am (for North Vancouver residents) or 9am (for non-residents). For other programs, registration opens at 7am for all customers.

Single-session book-a-visit programs (including fitness classes, aquafit and sport activities) open for registration at 7am on the Tuesday of the week before the session. 

Programs will be available online a few weeks before registration opens. Browse the offerings and make your selections in advance.

For faster registration, write down the eight-digit course ID numbers (found beside each program name). You'll need these whether you register online, by phone or at the front desk, and having them handy will make registration faster.

Make sure you have the correct course ID for your chosen date — they vary by session.

Self-registering online with an NVRC account is the fastest way to register. This will give you the best chance of getting into the programs and activities you want. 

Make note of the date and time that registration opens and get ready a few minutes ahead of time. The most popular classes and activities are often filled within the fifteen minutes of registration opening. To beat the odds, you’ll want to be organized and logged in to your NVRC account on your computer or smart phone a few minutes early. That way, you’ll be ready to refresh your screen and go right when registration opens! 

We recommend using Google Chrome to register on your phone or computer, as it works best with our registration site.

Registration is confirmed after the payment has gone through. It takes time for the system to process a payment on your credit card and this could be the delay that prevents you from getting that last spot!

Do your research ahead of time to confirm the cost of the program(s) you want to register for. Then, add a credit to your account to cover registration fees. This lets you skip credit card processing time at checkout by choosing your account credit as your payment method.

To add a credit to your account, call us at 604-987-7529 or visit the front desk. You can't do this online. If you don't use your credit, you can request a refund. 
 

If your plan is to sign-up online for multiple programs, we recommend that you complete the registration for your priority program first, then go back and sign-up for more. If you try to do them all at once the process will take longer and you might miss out! To speed things up, have the course ID number(s) ready.
