The goal for the piece, is to invite people of all ages to  interact with the work in a tactile way. Library patrons are encouraged to sit, crawl, climb, and literally get inside the books. I want the experience of interacting with this sculpture to mimic the immersive feeling one has when getting lost in a good book.

There is nothing like the feeling of discovery you experience when a book takes you to another place and introduces you to people not just from all circumstances and places, but also times. I love that one of my daughters travels to fantasy worlds when she needs a break from ours and my other daughter takes inspiration from women in history who have changed the world.  
Just like with a good book, I want this piece to transport, inspire and connect all those that interact with it.
