Lynn Creek Community Recreation Centre is located at 1491 Hunter Street in the heart of the new Lynn Creek Town Centre.
Located on the corner of Mountain Highway and Hunter Street, the front doors of the centre face out on Seylynn Park. It is just steps from the new Spirit Trail crossing over Lynn Creek that connects Lynn Creek Town Centre to Bridgman Park and Park & Tilford.

The new community recreation centre features:
- Full-sized gymnasium for basketball, volleyball, badminton and pickleball
- Three multi-purpose spaces for family, youth and senior programs
- Two 'living rooms' with comfortable seating areas
- Maker space for gatherings and classes
- Community spaces
- Meeting rooms
- Public art
- Public wi-fi
There is also an automated library kiosk operated by North Vancouver District Public Library.
The centre is home to a daycare for infants, toddlers and 3-5 year olds operated by Parkgate Society under a lease agreement with the District of North Vancouver.

The centre provides a wide array of recreation, cultural and community programs and services that promote health, wellness, creativity and connection.
This includes programs and services for all abilities, interests and ages such as: sport and recreation, fitness classes, visual arts, dance, out-of-school camps, birthday parties, and indoor and outdoor events.
NVRC will develop additional offerings that serve the needs of neighbourhood residents and there will be a range of low-cost activities.

There are 49 underground parking stalls specifically designated for the centre including accessible parking stalls and electric vehicle charging stations.
Visitors can also use active transportation by walking, cycling or rolling, or taking public transit to get to the centre. There are locked bike stalls available for centre visitors.

NVRC operates a system of facilities across North Vancouver offering a range of arts and recreational amenities and services.

Lynn Creek Community Recreation Centre is a smaller, neighbourhood community recreation centre that functions as both a central gathering place for people living in the area and a location for all North Vancouver residents to enjoy recreational and arts programs and activities.
Not all facilities offer the same amenities and Lynn Creek is meant to complement the other community recreation centres, amenities and services available in North Vancouver.

North Vancouver District Public Library (NVDPL) will operate an automated library kiosk at the centre.

Parkgate Society operates the childcare centre located in Lynn Creek Community Recreation Centre under a lease agreement with the District of North Vancouver.

North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC) is offering this contest and by participating in this contest, the child’s legal parent/guardian is agreeing to the contest rules and terms and conditions as outlined below.
CONTEST DATES
The colouring contest begins on April 5, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time and closes on April 13, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time.ELIGIBILITY
Contest open to persons ages 3-12. One (1) entry per person. Children of NVRC employees are not eligible to participate.HOW TO ENTER
a) Pick up a colouring page at the Lynn Creek Community Recreation Centre opening celebration event on April 5, 2025 and colour it in however you like.
b) Include identifying information (child’s name and age plus parent or guardian's phone number and email address) so that winners may be notified.
c) Entries can be dropped off at any NVRC community recreation centre until their respective closing times on Sunday, April 13 or be emailed to marketing@nvrc.ca by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time on April 13, 2025.
d) By entering the contest, you agree to let NVRC post your child’s artwork in Lynn Creek Community Recreation Centre, and on Instagram and Facebook (only child’s first name and age will be displayed) and you accept the terms and conditions of the contest.JUDGING
Entries will be judged at contest end and prizes will be awarded then.Decisions are at the discretion of NVRC and are subject to change at any time. We reserve the right to award multiple winners and prizes, or no winners and prizes.
WINNERS & PRIZES
Parents of winners will be notified by email or phone by April 21, 2025.One prize will be awarded in each of the following categories: 1) ages 3-6; 2) ages 7-9; 3) ages 10-12.
The winners will receive a one-month child Active Pass; NVRC string backpack; NVRC flashing reflector; NVRC workout towel; NVRC sunglasses; NVRC colour-changing pencils (2); NVRC chocolates (2); and one sheet of limited-edition Lynn Creek stickers designed by artist Carson Ting (aka Chairman Ting).
The contest prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or convertible to cash. The sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent or greater value if the prize.
The odds of winning a contest prize are dependent on the number of eligible entries received in the entire contest period.
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
By entering the contest, all entrants agree to be bound by the rules of the contest and release NVRC and all parties associated with this contest from any liability with respect to the contest and the redemption of any prize.NVRC reserves the right to withhold the prize or disqualify any contestant's entry in the event that any contestant fails or refuses to comply with these contest rules.
By entering this contest, contestants and their legal parent or guardian consent to NVRC publishing or announcing any prize winners' first name, age and photograph(s) of their artwork in future publicity, without permission or compensation to the contestant or any other party. This shall include unlimited reproduction, publication, use and distribution in all forms and media, and in all manners including advertising, trade, display, editorial, art, video production, exhibitions and website content.
By entering, contestants also agree to the use of their personal information disclosed in or in connection with their entries by NVRC and its subsidiary and affiliate companies for the purpose of administering the contest, awarding and delivering the prize, announcing the winner and as set out in NVRC’s Privacy Statement at nvrc.ca/privacy. NVRC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority without the consent of a parent or guardian.
If for any reason, in the opinion of NVRC, in its sole discretion, the contest is not capable of running as planned or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or other causes beyond its control, NVRC reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest including any method of entry.
All entries become the property of NVRC and none will be returned. NVRC’s does not sell or redistribute any personal information to any third party.
All decisions made by NVRC with respect to the contest will be final. NVRC will not enter into correspondence with any contestant except with the selected entrants and at its own initiative.
