The pool and changerooms at Karen Magnussen Community Recreation Centre will be closed from November 14 to December 20 for planned maintenance.
The following areas of the centre will be closed:
- Pools & pool deck
- Changerooms & showers
- Hot tubs & steam room
Crews will be servicing and replacing equipment, completing repairs, updating the HVAC system, installing safety barriers on higher areas of the pool deck, painting and deep cleaning. These jobs can only be completed when the pools are drained and not in use.
Our other pools at Ron Andrews, Harry Jerome and Delbrook Community Recreation Centres will be open during the shutdown. View the schedules and locations.
Other areas of Karen Magnussen, including the fitness centre and arena, will remain open, but changerooms and showers will not be available on-site. Please change before coming to Karen Magnussen for a class or workout, and plan to shower at home or work. Alternatively, you may choose to visit another NVRC facility during the closure.
