Sculpture
Your Ancient Scribe is a lifelike depiction of Walter Mackay Draycott, a local author, former alderman and school trustee. A huge community advocate, nature enthusiast and avid chronicler of pioneer life in Lynn Valley, the placement of the sculpture in Lynn Valley's Pioneer Square honours his many contributions.

About the Artist:
After graduating from Handsworth Secondary, Kevin Head went on to study at Emily Carr University and now heads Kroma Paint on Granville Island. He apprenticed for the Ancient Scribe with well known sculptor and foundry specialist Jack Harman who lived in Lynn Valley at the time. The work was created at Jack's foundry on Alexandra Street in Gastown.
