North Vancouver Recreation & Culture (NVRC) is proud to deliver recreation, sport, and arts and culture programs and events on behalf of the City and District of North Vancouver. Through the dedication of our staff and volunteers, we help community members lead more connected, active and creative lives. You can learn more about our mandate and priorities on the About Us page on our website.

We operate 10 community recreation centres, the North Vancouver Tennis Centre  and Centennial Theatre, the North Shore’s largest performing arts theatre. Our network of facilities boast a variety of amenities including six fitness centres, six gymnasiums, five art studios, four pools, three licensed preschools, three squash/racquetball courts, two ice arenas, two pottery studios and one woodworking studio.

In addition to offering a wide range of programs and activities, and organizing community events, we manage the public art programs for both the City and District. Our support for the arts also includes an arts and culture grants program, an artist residency program and rotating art displays in select facilities. We also manage room and venue bookings for facilities, fields and outdoor spaces across North Vancouver.

To celebrate our work and highlight some of our key achievements in 2024, we've created a visual summary: 2024 NVRC year-in-review infographic.

Our successes and achievements are a direct result of the passion and commitment of our exceptional staff and volunteers, who take great pride in serving the community and making a positive difference in people's lives.

We’re excited to build on this momentum in 2025 and continue our efforts to support a healthier, more connected North Vancouver.
