Explore the world of clay and creativity with pottery at NVRC!
We offer programs for all ages and abilities out of our pottery studios at the Delbrook Community Recreation Centre and Parkgate Community Centre, as well as the art studio at Memorial Community Recreation Centre.
NVRC’s pottery programming and studios offer opportunities to learn and explore the craft, art and practice of pottery through classes, workshops, and independent studio time for potters able to work independently in the studio. Participants come from different artistic backgrounds and learn from our professional instructors and each other in their work with clay. We cultivate a respectful, welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where we support the learning, development and creative growth of participants.
We hope and expect individuals will feel a responsibility to contribute to making our studios a special place for potters to learn and practice their skills, find inspiration, develop styles and techniques, and express creativity in clay.

Programs for all ages and levels are offered out of the Delbrook and Parkgate pottery studios, and the Memorial art studio. View programs online.
2025 pottery studio changes
In mid-2025, NVRC will be changing how we operate the pottery studios at the Delbrook Community Recreation Centre and Parkgate Community Centre to ensure fair access for all and increase the number of participant spaces. We will do this by shifting from a studio membership system to a seasonal studio pass system and freeing up more storage space in the studios. Please see the information below for details.
If you have any questions about the information above, please email pottery@nvrc.ca.
NVRC will provide the next update regarding the pottery studio changes in early April 2025, including instructions for the lottery registration process and discussion topics for the April 14-15 meetings with studio users.
