Thank you for choosing us as your favourites!

NVRC is honoured to have three facilities recognized in this year’s North Shore News Readers Choice Awards.

Delbrook Community Recreation Centre was voted ‘Favourite Recreation Centre’ for the seventh year in a row and again received a special Platinum Award for being the favourite for five consecutive years. Karen Magnussen Community Recreation Centre was one of the top three in the category.

Centennial Theatre was voted ‘Favourite Performing Arts Theatre’ for the fifth year in a row. It has been the category winner since the Performing Arts Theatre award was first given out in 2020.

“On behalf of all our staff, I want to thank everyone in the community who voted for us,” says Heather Turner, NVRC’s Director, Recreation & Culture. “We are so grateful to support people in living active, creative, connected lives. Our staff go above and beyond to provide a great experience, and it is gratifying to have that recognized by people in the community.”

You can see all the winners in the 2024 Readers Choice Award feature – either the online publication or in the February 14, 2024 print edition of the North Shore News. NVRC’s categories can be found on pages 27 and 29, and there is a special feature on Delbrook Community Recreation Centre on page 35 for being a platinum winner this year.
