Woodwork

Learn woodworking!

NVRC offers woodworking courses taught by Jeremy Tomlinson, aka The Urban Woodworker. Jeremy is a highly experienced woodworker and wood turner, he has taught many students at other locations and his courses are very popular. These courses will teach students hand tool methods and techniques used in woodworking and furniture making.

The classes will take place in the new custom-outfitted Community Woodworking Studio at 135 West 1st Street (across the plaza from John Braithwaite Community Centre).

Open House

Join us at the Community Woodworking Studio Open House on Saturday January 6, from 1-5pm.

Come for a visit and let us introduce you to our beautiful studio, see work on display and in progress, watch demonstrations and ask questions of the pros. The state of the art studio is well equipped with some of the best tools and machinery making it THE place for local amateurs to learn and create. The studio, managed by Urban Woodworker, teaches woodworking courses to the public and offers Open Studio times for people to come in and use the facility to work on their own projects.
