About the artist:
Carlos Basanta was born in Pontevedra, Spain and attended the University of Madrid. Since 1970, he has worked as an artist in Canada, the United States, Japan, Spain and Israel. He began working as a public artist: first as a muralist (both painting and mosaic) and has been working in sculpture almost exclusively since 1979. His artworks have been exhibited internationally.
