This is a Call for Expressions of Interest from the City of North Vancouver Public Art Program, seeking an artist or artist team to create and install a public art project at the City of North Vancouver Cemetery. Submission deadline is Friday September 11, 2015, 4pm.
The City is seeking an artist or artist team to create and install a public art project at the City of North Vancouver Cemetery that is either a discrete or functional piece. The selected artwork will be designed to enhance the overall cemetery experience as a welcoming public park space for all community members. With its spectacular forested setting, the cemetery is a place to commune with nature, discover community history, or on occasion watch the local film industry in action.
This public art call is open to professional artists who can demonstrate the creative expertise and technical skills required to manage all phases of the public art process from design development through to installation.
