Answers to Your Registration Questions

How do I register online?

Everyone can search for programs online, but you must have your Log In number (Playcard number) and your family's Personal Identification Number (PIN) to register online. Visit your local Centre to obtain your FREE Playcard and PIN.

Follow these easy steps:

  • Visit our eReg online registration system
    From the home page, click on the "Sign In" button on the top right-hand corne of the screen.
  • Enter your family PIN and Log In (Playcard) number.
  • Under the 'Activities' tab, search for the programs you want to register for.
  • When you find a desired program, click on the 'Add' button to put it into your basket. If there is no 'Add' button visible, this program is either not available for online registration or is full (in which case, you can be waitlisted).
  • After you've added all the programs you want to your basket, click on the 'My Basket' tab to review your selection.
  • Proceed to the 'Checkout' to make your payment with VISA® or MasterCard® or American Express®.
  • Print your receipt before you exit eReg.
How do I find a particular program?

Visit our Find a Program page and select the category of programs you are interested in. You can also search programs using the eReg system. Just select the 'Activities' tab and begin your search.

How can I find out what my PIN number is?

You can check any of your previous registration receipts, or visit any Centre and show your picture ID to a cashier. If you supplied us with your email address when you set up your Playcard account, you can email us from that same email address and we will reply with your PIN. Canadian privacy legislation does not allow us to provide Log In (Playcard) or PIN numbers over the phone.

How can I find out where I am on the waitlist?

Either call 604-987-Play (7529) or visit your local Community Recreation Centre. If you supplied us with your email address when you set up your Playcard account, you can also email us from that same email address and we will respond with your waitlist status.

What are your refund policies?

Can I apply for financial assistance?

North Vancouver Recreation and Culture assists North Vancouver residents who face financial barriers to participate in recreation and culture programs. For more information, view our Financial Assistance section. Call 604-987-Play (7529) to book an appointment to apply for financial assistance.

How do I add a new client?

You can add clients to your family account online.  All clients added to the account should be family members who live at the same address.

What do I do if the system says I am not age appropriate?

Some programs have age and/or school grade requirements.  Make sure each of your family member's birth dates and school grades are correct on your account.

Can I log into my account before registration starts on registration days?

Yes, you can log into your account in advance using your Log In number.

Why do I get charged the adult rate online when I am a senior?

Programs with multiple fees only allow the highest fee to be charged online. Contact our registration line Monday – Friday between 8:30am – 6:30pm at 604-987-Play (7529) if you require a lower fee to be applied.

Can I create my own account online?

You can create your own account online as long as you do not already have an account. When you create an account you must do a transaction at the time of creation or the account will not be saved.

To create an account visit our eReg page and click on the Create New Account link on the top right corner of the page.

Can I withdraw from a program online?

You can withdraw online if the program start date is more than 5 days away.

If you wish to withdraw within 5 days of the program start date, please call our registration line at 604-987-Play (7529), Monday - Friday 8:30am-6:30pm.  A withdrawl fee may apply.

What do I do when I get locked out of my account?

If you attempt to log into your account and are unsuccessful more than 3 times, the system will lock you out.  You must call our registration line at 604-987-Play (7529), Monday - Friday 8:30am-6:30pm to have your account unlocked by one of our customer service staff.

Can I waitlist for multiple programs online?

Register first for programs within the same activity (e.g. I Can Swim 2) that have spaces available prior to choosing programs to be waitlisted for.
If you do the reverse (waitlist first, then register), you will lose your waitlisted programs.
